Welcome to the Crowfeather Club!

As you can see, this is a club for anybody and everybody who loves Crowfeather. You don't have to participate in the contests or draw or write about the WindClan warrior to be a part of the club. Just put us on your watch list and send us a note to let us know that you've joined. It's not mandatory that you put our icon in your journal or link to us in your siggy, but we will give you a if you do. Also, please understand that noting us is garanteed to get you a faster response than sending messages. For all the information on the club, go to this journal.

Hey-yo, Crowfeather fans! We've got some exciting news for you today... the Crowfeather Club has reached our goal of 15 members, exceeding it by 25!!! That's right, we have a whopping total of 40 members in less than 2 months! Thanks to everyone who referred friends and posted links to our homepage in their journals and siggys! Much appreciated! (Also, if you have any Crowfeather art you want to submit to the club, please do so by noting us! We love to show the world how our love for Crowfeather shines through our art.)

And since we've exceeded 15 members, you know what that means... The Crowfeather Club is having its FIRST EVER CONTEST!!!

Here's how it works:

Crowfeather's "Fireworks" Contest

This contest is for members only, but that doesn't mean you have to enter, (although the more entries, the more fun the contest is). The deadline for the contest is the week of July 4th. That means that by July 4th, we should have all the entries in. THERE WILL BE NO EXTENDING THE DEADLINE for anyone, except if you are on vacation or are going to go on vacation, in which case, please tell us in advance so we can give you your own deadline. Entries should follow these guidelines:

There must be at least two cats in your picture, and one of them should be Crowfeather. You should be drawing your favorite Crowfeather pairing, be it CrowxLeaf, CrowxFeather, or CrowxNight. Please, no odd pairings, like "CrowxSquirrel" or "CrowxStorm" or whatever. That's another contest... You may have other cats in the picture too, but the main focus should be Crowfeather and his she-cat.

The theme of the picture is "Fireworks" for 4th of July, (and the kind of fireworks that go off when you're in love ), so there should be fireworks or some symbolism of fireworks in the picture. Firework symbolisms include kitty kissing or other forms of romance, or stars. For more information on this rule, please note us with the subject as "Contest" or "Contest Question".

The scene can take place in either day or night. Sunsets and sunrises are permitted as well. The background can also vary; you do not have to put the background as WindClan or ThunderClan or RiverClan territory, though you may if you wish. You do not have to put any background at all, though that may lower your chances of winning.

The picture may traditional or digital, but it must be colored. You may use borders or do a photomanip, though all sources must be credited. You may also enter more than one picture, and the pictures may be completely different styles, but keep in mind that all entries must be uploaded by the club before they are official, so please note us with a link to your entry when you are finished. If we do not upload your entry, it will not be put on the judging sheet and will not be judged.

Since we are a club, we judge contests differently than single accounts typically do. How we judge: Once July 5th has passed, the contest is closed. No exceptions. We will then look at all the pictures and eliminate the entries that do not follow the above guidelines. The remaining entries will have screenshots taken, and we will compile them all onto one judging sheet, where you can view all the entries at once. Then every member, whether they entered or not, can, but is not oblgated to, place a vote. You may only vote once, and it is not forbidden to vote for yourself. After all the votes have been counted, the member who recieved the most votes will place first, the member who recieved the second most will place second, and so on. There will be a first, second, and third place winner, plus a "Manager's Choice" award, which will be awarded by me, . No member will win the same contest twice.

Of course, what fun are contests without prizes? Here are what the winners get:

First Place: You will get to choose which of our extremely talented prize artists (see below) you want to draw you a fully colored, very detailed picture of Crowfeather and one of your own personal characters, wolf or cat, with a detailed background.

Second Place: You will get to choose which of our exceptionally talented prize artists you want to draw you a colored picture of one of your original characters, wolf or cat, with no background, or little to none.

Third Place: You will get to choose which of our exquistitely talented prize artists you want to draw you a lineart of one of your own cat characters, lightly colored, (this is optional, depending on the artist you choose).

Manager's Choice Award: This award is given to the artist of the entry that stood out the most, to me, who has not already won first, second, or third place. I, will choose who recieves it, and the winner will get a photomanip of one of their original characters, cat or wolf, or their fursona. They will also recieve two scaled versions of the photomanip, one that can be used as an optional ID and one that can be used as an optional avvie.
